​The Newberry County Animal Shelter is always looking for new volunteers to help save the pets and more community involvement. Volunteer applications are available at the shelter located at 240 Public Works Drive, Newberry, SC. The shelter volunteers walk and socialize the dogs, bathe them, take them on day trips to break the stress in the kennel, create dating cards, distribute shelter flyers showcasing available pets and make improvements to the play areas at the shelter. Shelter Volunteer Network and the Newberry County Animal Shelter benefit from partnerships with local businesses and community members willing to help. From donating supplies or helping to beautify the area, there are other ways to get involved. Every flyer we distribute to local businesses for display and every social media post we share brings an animal one step closer to finding a home. So how can you help?
