Shelter Volunteer Network is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered with the Internal Revenue Service and the S.C. Secretary of State. Federal Tax ID: 92-3844388. Our organization is devoted to improving the quality of life for the pets at the Newberry County Animal Shelter by promoting their adoption, rescue and fostering. Our organization is supported by a board of directors and a passionate network of volunteers. Our volunteers are the boots on ground people who walk the dogs at the shelter, bathe them, transport them for medical care and to rescues, help at adoption events, and foster dogs in their homes.
The Newberry County Animal Care and Control operates the Newberry County Animal Shelter located at 240 Public Works Drive, Newberry, SC 29108. Newberry County Animal Care and Control is an Agency of the County of Newberry created by the Newberry County Ordinance. The animals shown on this website are located at the Newberry County Animal Shelter subject to the jurisdiction of the County. Shelter Volunteer Network does not operate the Newberry County Animal Shelter. We are “helping hands” for the shelter trying to find homes or rescues for these county pets.
